Flower Patch

Come explore the flower patch! Where you can take pictures in the wildflower meadow. Or you can pick some fresh blueberries in the blue berry patch.

About Us

In August, 2022, we registered our farm as a monarch waystation.  Our farm is one of many other waystations that can be viewed at monarch butterfly watch.  By registering our farm, we provide nectar, shelter (on plants) and water for the monarchs as they migrate north in the spring and south in the fall.

We have several plants for them to enjoy the nectar from:  milkweed, cosmos, French marigolds, lantana, Mexican Sunflower, sweet William, zinnias and many more.  They also enjoy food and shelter in our native pollinator garden that we are currently developing this year (2024).
We Have One Goal

To ProvideThe Highest Quality
Flowers and Greenery.

On the farm, we have several different opportunities that you can experience.  We have a blue berry patch where we will offer our blueberries.  We have started a wildflower meadow which can be used as an area for pictures or to just enjoy.

We have flowers for sale, as single stems, in bouquets, or a subscription. There will also be various spots around Taylor, Oxford and Water Valley, MS to purchase our flowers. Our first crops will be tulips, daffodils, anemone, and ranunculus. We will also have single, traditional, single stem red tulips, as well as vibrant double tulips.

Our Discovery

The idea of starting a flower farm began back in 2020.  Jenni had just gone through the Lee County (Tupelo) Master Gardener program.  She was working out in the yard, planting flowers.  Mitch told her that she needed to find a way to do what she loved, gardening, and to make money doing it.  The idea was planted in both of their minds.  Jenni continued her course work in the paralegal program at Northwest Mississippi Community College and obtained her paralegal degree.  Mitch also continued his job as a banker.

Then Covid-19 hit.  Jenni could not work in the office.  Mitch retired.  A few months later, the idea revisited Mitch.  Taylor Flower Patch, LLC. was born.

In September of 2021, the LLC was formed.  The layout of the farm was put to paper.  The farm was plowed and the rows made.  Wildflowers were scattered and bulbs ordered.

Mitch and Jenni Campbell moved to Taylor, Mississippi, from Memphis, Tennessee in 2015.  They have three children and four grands, with another on the way.  They have rescued several cats in the small town of Taylor.  Their fur babies are Kiki, Peanut, Tater Tot and Pretty Boy (who is actually a girl).
